September 5 /08 - The film Les femmes de la Brukman, for which Roberto López composed the music, will be playing between Sept. 5-11 (press here for schedule) at the Cinéma Parallèle (Excentris).

June 12 /08 - The ROBERTO LÓPEZ PROJECT will be playing this year's Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, with their unique Nu Afro Latin style, from Cumbia-Funk, Guajira-Rap to Salsa-Soul! This Latin ensemble explores Colombian and Cuban grooves with a Montreal sound!

January 26 /08 - The ROBERTO LÓPEZ PROJECT presented a sold out show at the Tohu in Montreal, warming a cold winter night!

December 20 /07 - The film Les femmes de la Brukman, for which Roberto López composed the music, is in the Oficial Selection at the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL.

October 22 /07 - Curura musique has signed a distribution deal for all it's music catalog with Select distribution for all of Canada.

October 9 /07 - Roberto López Project will be featured on CANADA LIVE (CBC radio 2), on Monday October 15 at 8PM. You can listen to the show on radio or on your computer, to find out how, visit CBC RADIO.

October 7 /07 - Guy A. Lepage played the song PSICODELI AMINOACIDO by Roberto López during the TV show Tout le monde en parle (Radio-Canada) this Sunday!

June 11 /07 - The ROBERTO LÓPEZ PROJECT will be on stage for the opening show of the 19th FrancoFolies de Montréal. This « trip de gang » that unites several musical currents and artists, will be presented on Thursday July 26 at 9PM, on the stage l’Aire Ford Focus. The concert will be hosted by Daniel Boucher with Lynda Thalie, H’Sao, Taima, Marco Calliari and the Roberto López Project together! The show will be filmed for TV and it will air the next day on ILLICO and later on ARTV.

June 1 /07 - Curura Musique is proud to announce that we will be producing the music for the film Les femmes de la Brukman (Productions ISCA), a documentary produced for RDI / Radio-Canada .

Mars 16 /07 - Curura Musique is producing the soundtrack for the film Tele-Sur (Altau Tuttifrutti / Cité-Amérique), a documentary produced for TV5.

February 21 /07 - Today is the premiere of the documentary film "Midnight Ballads" (Peripheria Productions) for which Roberto C. López composed and performed all the music. The film is presented in the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois 2007.

February 12 /07 - The Roberto López Project is invited to perform at the TV show Belle et Bum on Tele-Quebec, live from the Plaza Theatre in Montreal. The show airs at 9pm on Saturday the 17 of February and again on Friday the 23 at 10pm.

December 14 /06 - The year is coming to an end and we are happy to share some great news: the album QUE PASA? was included in the TOP 25 best world music albums by Rhythms International: MIX96 (Montreal). The album also reached #1 position for 4 weeks at CIUT's (Toronto) International charts, and stayed on the TOP 10 for several weeks. We want to thank everyone for their support and we want to wish everybody happy holidays. See you next year!

August 23 /06 - The animated feature film MANGA LATINA, for which Roberto López composed original music, will be playing at the Montreal World Film Festival. The film will also be airing on MTV LATINO in several countries this Fall.

May 23 /06 - Roberto López Project will be performing at the FRANCOFOLIES DE MONTRÉAL on Monday, June 12 at 7PM and again at 10PM on the Monde Multiculturel de Hydro-Québec scene.

May 23 /06 - Roberto López is the recipient of the Prize organized by the FONDATION DU MAIRE DE MONTRÉAL POUR LA JEUNESSE and the LES FRANCOFOLIES DE MONTRÉAL!

May 2 /06 - The album "Qué Pasa?" of the Roberto López Project is now available on all record stores in the Quebec area - Archambault, Renaud-Bray, HMV, Music World, and others.

March 15 /06 - Curura Musique signs a distribution agreement with DISTRIBUTION BROS (a division of Productions Bros) for the Roberto Lopez Project album "Qué Pasa?". This deal covers Canada.

February 24 /06 - Curura Musique is pleased to announce that we will be producing the original music for the soundtrack of MIDNIGHT BALLADS (Peripheria Productions), a one-hour documentary for Omni TV, which follows the lives of a group of new Canadians who quietly toil through the night in Montreal’s flourishing cleaning industry.

January 30 /06 - Curura Musique signs a distribution agreement with Millenium Representaciones de Colombia for the Roberto Lopez Project album "Qué Pasa?". This deal covers the Republic of Colombia.

December 2 /05 - Roberto López travels to Colombia to begin his research in traditional Colombian music. He has received a Grant to Professional Musicians from the Canada Council for the Arts to research traditional music from Colombia and to use this research in the composition of a series of pieces.

November 6 /05 - Roberto López wrote all the original music for the film Souvenir Kids (Souvenirs d'Acapulco) that is playing at the film festival: 8es RIDM in Montreal. Besides all the original music of the film, Roberto co-wrote the closing theme for the film with Daniel Russo Garrido. The opening theme is the song "Ayer Soñé" from the Roberto López Project latest album "Qué Pasa?" available on Curura Musique Records after November 11, 2005.

November 1 /05 - The Roberto López Project album "Qué Pasa?" has been finished. The commercial release of the album will be on November 11. The cover art design and photos were done by Juan Madrigal, the box back cover photo & Roberto's photo were done by Jocelyn Michel, the mastering was done at the 'E' Room in Toronto by Peter J. Moore and the mix was done by Roberto López & Claus Frostell at Curura Musique studio in Montreal.

September 30/05 - The recording sessions for the Roberto López Project album "Qué Pasa?" took place between August 2 and 15. Most of the material was recorded on location at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall in Montreal by Roberto López & Claus Frostell and additional recording was done at Curura Musique studio between September 8 and 11.

May 27/05 - Curura Musique will do on-location recording sessions at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall, in Montreal, for the production of the Roberto López Project new album "Qué Pasa?".

May 25/05 - Recording engineer Claus Frostell is lending his talents for the recording sessions of the new album by Roberto López Project. Claus has worked with artists such as Moist, David Usher, Jean Leloup, Gaia, The Planet Smashers, The Gruesomes and The Snitches just to name a few.

May 16/05 - Roberto López has received a Grant to Professional Musicians from the Canada Council for the Arts to research traditional music from Colombia and to use this research in the composition of a series of pieces.

May 12/05 - We finally have our site up and running with almost all the basic information. More updates to the site will follow soon, as well as music exerpts of our work will be on line in anear future.

April 20/05 - Curura Musique produced the music for the trailer-ad of the 13th New Latin American Film Festival of Providence. The festival takes place between the 24 and the 30 of April 2005 in Providence (Rhode Island).

April 5/05 - Curura Musique is proud to announce that the Roberto López Project has been approved for the Independent Record Loan by FACTOR. The recording will be done this summer. More updates on the recording and the official launch date will follow.

January 10/05 - Curura Musique will be producing the original soundtrack for the documentary “Souvenir Kids” produced by Peripheria Productions in Montreal and shot in Acapulco, Mexico. This is a documentary about the struggle of a resort town dealing with the impact of child sex exploitation in the heart of its community.

September 01/04 - Curura Musique, who produced the main theme and background music, is pleased to announce the recent release of the documentary film: “Musiques rebelles Americas” (Productions Multi-Monde), directed by Marie Boti & Malcolm Guy, produced by Lucie Pageau.

August 01/04 - Curura Musique has finished the music production for “Manga Latina: Killer on the loose”, “Piñatas” and “Monica: made in America”, the 3 feature animation films produced by Manga Latina Productions & H2V Entertainment.

December 15/03 - The film "L'argent (Money)" (ISCA) by Isaac Isitan has won the Public's choice awards at the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal 2003. Roberto C. López composed the original music for this film. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this project!

December 10/03 - Curura Musique has signed a contract with Voice Art Productions for the composition of the original music for their three upcoming animation productions: “Manga Latina: Killer on the loose”, “Piñatas” and “Monica: made in America”.

November 15/03 - Curura Musique is pleased to announce that the production of the soundtracks for “Open Secrets“ (ONF), “Chronique urbaine“ (Peripheria Productions) and “L'argent“ (ISCA) has been finished.

October 20/03 - The song “Oye Latino” composed by Roberto C. López has been chosen to appear in the movie of the week “Hollywood Wives” (CBS) starring Farrah Fawcett, Melissa Gilbert, Robin Givens & Jack Scalia.
